C- Controversial

Lady Gaga is one of the most controversial artists of today. In her music she writes about sexuality, sex, cheating, religion, and of course her fashion itself is controversial. "I have a strong sense of my own sexuality. I love the naked human body and I have huge body confidence."

In Gaga's song Pokerface, she makes it very clear that she is bisexual when she sings "cause I'm bluffin with my muffin." Lady Gaga was one of the first artist to come out through a song.  "The fact that I'm into women, they're all intimidated by it. It makes them uncomfortable." When this song came out in late 2008, I was just starting to come out to people and hearing this song made things a lot easier knowing that a star like Lady Gaga is as well gay.

Monster is one of my favorite songs of all the albums, and that song is about the fear of sex. "I wanna dance but he took me home instead uh oh! There was a monster in my bed. We french kissed on a subway train, he tore my clothes right off. He ate my heart then he ate my brain. " This line shows how she gets used just for sex and no one actually loves her. Also in the song Love Game, she is ready to cheat and turn her relationship into a game. "I'm on a mission, and it involves some heavy touching, yeah
you've indicated your interest, I'm educated in sex, yes
and now I want it bad, want it bad
a love game."

Since Lady Gaga became famous, there were always rumors about her being a hermaphrodite, instead of letting that get her down she embraces the rumors. "I don't know if you've heard, but I have a pretty tremendous dick," it's obvious she doesn't but she won't let anything bring her down.

The song Judas is one of the most controversial music video of the 2010's. She uses religion to refer to her relationship. "I wanna love you.. but somethings pulling me away from you, Jesus is my virtue and Judas is the demon I cling to," this line shows that she wants a good relationship, but she can not seem to get a way from the bad. Also in this music video she enters the scene on motorcycles riding with Jesus followed by the 12 disciples, including Judas. Throughout the video it shows how Judas is betraying Jesus.

B- Born This Way Foundation

The Born This Way Foundation was funded by Gaga and her mother Cynthia in late 2011. The Born This way Foundation officially started on February 29th 2012. The Idea of the Born This Way Foundation is to aim towards a more accepting society , where differences are embraced and individuality is celebrated. There are three pillars to the Foundation: Safety, Skills, and opportunities. The Born This Way Foundation will aim to create a braver, Kinder world. The Born This Way foundation is one big movement encouraging youth empowerment.

"Bullies are for losers," a quote said by Gaga when she preformed "Hair" at the IHeartRadio Concert in tribute to Jeremy, a monster who taken his life a few days before. The Born This Way Foundation wants to create a safe environment for youth to explore themselves and not to be scared because of their sexuality or the way they dress. The Born This Way Foundation provides online support for all of those who don't feel like they're good enough.

The BTWF also wants to give the skills, tools, and resources you will need. Now is the time we need to make a change, The Born This Way Foundation shows how important it is for a change, where everyone is accepted for who they are. “I used to walk down the street like I was a fucking star… I want people to walk around delusional about how great they can be - and then to fight so hard for it every day that the lie becomes the truth.”

The Born This Way Foundation also gives the opportunity to reach out to your community and give a helping hand. The BTWF  provides ways to implement solutions and impact local community's. People will be able to lead the charge impacting your surroundings.

There are also many ways you can help with this movement. Share your story of bravery, Let all of your friends and family know what the Born This Way Foundation is doing, and donate money and never be afraid to be yourself.

A- Alejandro

Alejandro was the third hit off of The Fame Monster. Alejandro was Lady Gaga's seventh song to make the Billboard Top 100. On April 17th 2010 Alejandro was charted at number five on the top 100. Gaga is the only artist to have her first seven hits be charted in the top 10. As the whole Fame Monster album was about fear, Alejandro represents "the fear of men." Alejandro is not just a fear of men it's also a big gay movement for the military. In the controversial music video for Alejandro which was released on June 8th 2010, it shows that the gay soldiers had to hide who they really are because of the Don't ask Don't tell policy. Don't ask Don't tell banned soldiers of the U.S military were not to reveal their sexuality if they wanted to continue to fight for their country. Because of their sexuality, they were often discharged or not allowed to fight on the front line. The video shows that the gay population in the military is a big deal and they shouldn't have to hide themselves. When Gaga sings  "Don't call my name," it shows that the soldiers do not want to be called out and put to shame because of their sexuality. Also Alejandro is about finding love, In the video it shows how active gay soldiers do often fantasize/experience sex and love with other men. With the video for Alejandro and Gaga's dedication in raising money for the LGBT, she helped abolish the Don't ask Don't Tell. On September 20th 2011 when DADT was repealed  soldiers were allowed to be openly be gay in the Army. Lady Gaga was awarded with the Randy Shilts Visibility Award. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIabfCEsZRA&feature=g-vrec&context=G2713c7bRVAAAAAAAAAg

A little about me

My name is Naomi but I go by Nao. I am a senior at Dcals and I am dedicating all of this blog to Lady Gaga. I will be making a dictionary on everything Lady Gaga. I'm an addict of fashion, heartbreak, revenge, romance, gambling, and cherry pie I'm monster. I've been hardcore following Gaga since I first heard her first song Just Dance in 2008. I fell instantly in love with her, I love how everything she does is for her fans. When the Fame Monster was released, the whole purpose of that album was to get rid of all your fears and insecurities. Lady Gaga set me free at the Monster ball on 8/31/10, after that night I wasn't afraid to be me anymore because "I'm a fucking superstar and I WAS BORN THIS WAY! As Gaga is about to go on the world wide Born This Way Tour, I am doing everything possible to make sure I will be noticed by Lady Gaga. I will camp outside of where she preforms for a minimum of week. I don't care what the price is, but I will be getting the best seats possible and backstage passes. I've been dreaming to meet Lady Gaga for so long now and I know for a fact this will be the year I meet the one and only Mother Monster.
